Corn Palace

My family took a trip to the Black Hills almost 3 years ago now. I scrapped about 1/2 of the vacation photos right away but then kind of ran out of steam. Does this ever happen to you? I finally got around to the photos again. This is my Corn Palace layout. I scrapped with a couple of ladies last Friday night and I was really inspired by my friend Karen. She's the most talented scrapper I know. She was doing background s with the Sanded background stamp. I really liked the look she was getting so I followed suit. I stamped the Sanded background stamp in close to cocoa craft ink and embossed with glassy glaze embossing powder. It gives a really cool effect. The designer paper used is from a paper pack by Deja-views. I'm pretty pleased with the way this turned out. Hopefully, I'll be motivated to finish off this scrapbook.

CUTE layout! I don't think I run out of steam, but sometimes I don't know HOW I want to design a certain layout. I used to dwell on it, but now I've learned to just skip it and come back to it. I love scrappin' vacation photos!

Love your layouts! The colors works so nicely with your photos. Yeah, I have the same problem. . .I'll start off creating something with a lot gusto and fizzle out rather quickly! LOL!!

OK, you have to show your haircut! Well, I guess only if you want to!

I feel so much better today. My hair isn't falling in my face! Such a difference!!

Have a great day! I sure hope you're not getting snow still. It's cold, rainy, and so gloomy in Illinois. We're supposed to have fierce thunderstorms later today.

I love this layout! I have done the same thing after vacation, come home and get a couple pages done and then lose my mojo or something! Now I don't even bother starting until I have the time to really dig in!

We went to the Black Hills a couple years ago, it was truly a relaxing vacation!
