Playing with new stamps!

I had a little bit of time to play with my new stamps today. I started with a couple of sketches from the Poetic Artistry blog. I did a little housekeeping on my blog today and created a list of a few blogs where you can find card and scrapbook sketches. There is a link to all of the past sketches from Poetic Artistry on it. Their sketches are fabulous!

Halloween card recipe:

Ink: Pumpkin Pie, Summer Sun, Old Olive and Basic Black stampin' write markers

Other: 1 1/4" circle punch, 1 3/8" circle punch, circle scallop punch, stampin' dimensionals, earth elements buttons

Christmas Card recipe:
Stamps: Holiday Trinkets, Sincere Saluations
Ink: Riding Hood Red, Basic Black, Taken with Teal
Paper: Riding Hood Red, Whisper White, Kiwi Kiss, Basic Black, Taken with Teal
Other: 1/2" circle punch, 1 3/8" circle punch, 1 3/4" circle punch, Baskets and Blooms Big Shot die cut, stampin' dimensionals, crystal effects, dazzling diamonds glitter, Kiwi Kiss ribbon

I took my boys shopping for hoodies for school today. Just when I think I'm done school shopping there's something more. My 10 year old thinks he's too old(and too cool) for Children's Place. That makes me sad cuz their clothes are cute and affordable. He's a little dude too so he definitely still fits in their clothes. I think he just doesn't like their name - Children's Place. LOL.

We only have 1 1/2 weeks of summer left. I'm not sure where it went. We still need to get back to school haircuts and a few odds and ends but otherwise, we are pretty well ready for school.

What a GREAT Halloween card! I will check out the blogs you listed, thanks(: I am always on the lookout for great layouts.
That is sooo funny about the Children's Place! I love that store too and I never realized that the name "Children's" may turn my kids off too some day, LOL! My 8 year old will pick out outfits during our school shopping trips, and turn around a few weeks latter and inform me they are not stylish enough! It gets expensive (:

Love both cards! I really love Halloween cards! I just got my catalog sampler little mini, and I'm in LOVE with the Just Jawing set, and I normally don't really like skulls! I love the six new colors too! I can see you used them on your Christmas card here! VERY nice!

Don't you just love the new big shot and SU dies!!! Great job on the sketch, I really like that stamp set and hope to get it on my next order. Your pumpkin card is cute, though I am not a halloween person. The Christams card is so cute, really love it.

School days, school days, dear old golden rule days....LOL Don't know if anyone remembers THAT song! I remember the shopping trips well, and do not envy you, though as a kid, this was one of my favorite times of year...brand new everything!!!
